Black Ice warning! Highways 138 132 and the 30. An 18 wheeler truck ended up in in the middle ditch of highway 30 earlier this morning around 6 a.m. Authorities blocked the highway on both sides near Chateauguay between St Jean Baptiste/132 and Industriel. Traffic was heavily backed up yet resumed at approx 6:30 a.m. Once resumed, westbound traffic on the 30 was being guided toward Chateauguay by 2 side by side snowplows.
At this same time a car also slid off the highway 30 eastbound and ended up in the middle ditch on the same stretch of highway, just a bit closer to St Jean Baptiste/132 near Chateauguay.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries. The driver of the small car had exited his vehicle and was seemingly ok as he awaited a tow, whereas the truck looked like it sustained front end damages. No information on the condition of the driver was available at time of posting.
