A major weather system continues to move slowly eastward. The rain will gradually change over to snow early Sunday morning over western Quebec, and overnight Sunday into Monday in the southern and central parts of the province. Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected by Tuesday; however, areas along the St. Lawrence River will receive close to 5 centimetres. Motorists should be prepared for winter driving as several areas will receive their first snowfall of the season. Snowfall amounts could have a significant impact on the commute to work Monday morning.
