New Québec Anti Smoking Laws as of May 26th
Measures that will take effect May 26, 2016
In addition to the already existing prohibitions, it will also forbidden to smoke:
in motor vehicles when persons under 16 years are present;
in the common areas of apartment buildings with 2 to 5 units;
on commercial patios, including those of restaurants and bars;
in children's outdoor play areas;
on athletic fields and playgrounds;
on the grounds of child/youth related camps;
at any time, on the grounds:
childcare centers and nurseries;
educational institutions:
preschool,
primary,
secondary, including general training centers for adults and vocational training centers.
Bans on tobacco products with a flavor or other than tobacco flavor
It will be forbidden for manufacturers and distributors to sell, offer for sale or distribution of tobacco products with a flavor or flavor other than tobacco.
