Fire near destroyed a residential home at 70 Trudeau in Chateauguay last night.
Reports state that the fire call came in at approximately 1:50 a.m.
The family of 4, are thankfully safe.
30+ Firefighters were apparently on scene and finally had the fire extinguished by approx 3:30 a.m.
There may have been renovations being done to the home as per unconfirmed reports.
The cause of the fire has not been established thus far and is undergoing investigation. The house is reportedly insured.
