Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu resident Audrey Carey 23, was found deceased in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park last Saturday morning. She had reportedly been attending the "Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival" where she suffered a blunt force trauma to the head. A passerby reported the discovery of the young woman's body to the San Francisco Police around 9:15 a.m. that morning. The case is now being investigated as a homicide. The South Shore woman had been backpacking on the US West Coast.
