Easter Sunday arrived with a bang for residents of Chateauguay's Albert Einstein and Pasteur boulevards.
Occupants of a house on Albert Einstein were awoken suddenly after a car crashed into their home last night at around 1:00 AM.
The driver of the vehicle may have been unable to fully complete a turn, reportedly jumped the sidewalk, and then may have crashed into the house's exterior column before coming to rest against another car parked under a car shelter in the driveway , media reports said.
Thankfully ,None of the five occupants of the residence were injured.
The driver and his two passengers allegedly fled on foot and made a run for it after the accident.
Two occupants of the house reportedly tried to chase the suspects, but lost them during the ensuing chase.
Chateauguay Police also searched the area for the suspects and seized the vehicle for investigation and evidence gathering reasons.
The registered owner of the car has already been met by police.
The driver of the car could potentially face hit and run charges, leaving the scene of an accident or speeding through a 30 kilometre zone - IF so charged and of course, IF found guilty..
