Chateauguay Police have announced that Ontario Police have arrested Mr Harnam Matharu, 21- at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The man was wanted by Chateauguay Police in reference to an alledged event stemming from November 24, 2014 at the Rustik Motel in Chateauguay, located on Boulevard St Jean Baptiste.
It is unclear if the man is or was a resident of Chateauguay, and confirmation is pending at this time.
An arrest warrant had been issued by Chateauguay Police for Harnam Matharu, who was being sought in regard to rumored allegations such as Breaking and Entering, Theft and Assault.
Chateauguay investigators were reportedly able to track Matharu’s whereabouts to Fallsview in Niagara Falls Ontario, where they collaborated with the OPP who made the official arrest on February 10th at the local Fallsview Casino.
Chateauguay Police, Ontario Provincial Police and the Niagara Falls Police Department had reportedly shared an interprovincial collaboration in regard to the apprehension of the suspect in this matter.
Our local Chateauguay Police force then took charge of the man on February 12th.
Mr Matharu appeared at the Valleyfield courthouse last week on Friday, February 13th and has since released on bail.
No further court date could be confirmed thus far by the Ministère de la Justice du Québec as they are reportedly awaiting transfer of the dossier from Valleyfield.
