20,000 Hydro clients in the Rousillon are presently without electricity.Hydro Québec states that the outages are due to the intense cold and subsequent demand for power on the grid.
The majority of those are in Candiac,LaPrairie,Delson,Saint Constant,Saint Phillipe and Saint Catherine. There are no reported outages in Chateauguay thus far, yet lights were flickering in the early morning in certain sectors.Montéregién Hydro customers without power at present stand at 111 077 strong!
