This year the Canadian Pacific Holiday train will be rolling down the tracks across Canada and pulling into a town near you! Since it’s first run in 1999, the Holiday train has raised more than $9.5 million dollars and 3.3 million pounds in food donations.
This festive rolling food bank and fundraising event will make six stops in Quebec: Kahnawake, Delson, Lacolle, St. Mathieu, Montreal West and Beaconsfield on November 26 and 27.
The train is decorated with Christmas lights and has a Boxcar stage in which a live musical show is performed at each stop on the route. The concerts are free, but those attending are encouraged to bring or give a donation for your local food banks – (either a non-perishable food item or a cash donation)
All contributions remain in your community.
