Kahnawake Peacekeepers reported today that a 36 year old woman was stabbed multiple times by a male on Sunday morning under the Mercier Bridge.
The injured woman made her way to a private Kahnawake home in the Clay mountain area and reportedly knocked on the door crying for assistance. The residents of the home reportedly called the Peacekeepers just after 1 a.m. to assist her. She was transported to hospital by ambulance.
The suspect has not been arrested and Peacekeepers offer no further information at this time.
The victim and a suspect are not residents of Kahnawake.
