A young woman has passed away after being grievously assaulted on the South Shore in old Longueuil last night.
Reports state that she was in her early 20’s and had no identification on her person.
She was found on a bike path near a cemetery in Paul Pratt Park between Chemin Chambly and Normandie at around 11:00 p.m.
She reportedly suffered wounds to her head and was in cardiac arrest when a passerby found her.
Police have set up a command post and are interviewing possible witnesses.
