With nary a week of respite, Chateauguay area Citizens are now again going to be subject to another major phase of traffic detours and nightmares..See Below:
Chateauguay to Montréal New Traffic Disruptions
Starting 15 August: R-138 to the eastbound downramp to A-20 COMPLETE closure weekends of until mid October, detour via !st avenue /direction Toronto Lachine then toward 20 east.
The 138 in the Saint-Pierre Interchange toward the 20 East down ramp has now been reduced to one lane and will remain as such until Oct 31st.
More projected repairs will result in the complete closure of two ramps in the Turcot Interchange after the 18 and 22 August.
From Monday, August 18 until mid-November
Complete closure of the ramp leading from westbound Highway 720 to Highway 15 south.
The road users will be invited to take Highway 20 west to exit 67 – Rue Notre-Dame / Boul.Angrignon , where you will be sent back via Highway 20 eastbound.
From Friday 22 August until mid-November
Complete closure of the ramp leading to Highway 20 eastbound to Highway 15 (Decarie) NORTHBOUND.
Drivers will be invited to take Highway 720 east to exit 3 – Montreal / Downtown / Rue Guy and return back via Highway 720 westbound.
Note that the complete closures will be necessary for the implementation of barriers, and are slated to begin the day before at 21 h 30.
In addition, overnight closures of the ramp leading from eastbound Highway 20 to Highway 15 southbound will be needed during the week of August 18 to allow for the installation of concrete barriers.
As of August 18, the ramp width will be reduced to 3.2 meters until mid-November.
Detours marked with signs and variable message signs will be installed. This project, will be suspended for the winter, yet will resume in spring 2015 for 13 weeks. Both ramps will therefore reopened to traffic for the winter.
